With the closure of the Bank of Scotland in Beauly in 2018, the estate looked to buy the building with a view to renovating and letting the property to a business or businesses that would benefit the local economy, boosting employment and visitors to the village. Conversion works began early in 2019, starting with the first floor which was let out to Bell Ingram in the Autumn. Exterior works included repointing the majority of all external stonework, roof and window repairs and clearing out the overgrown garden area. Interior works included converting the second floor flat into storage space, converting the first floor to offices and the ground floor to retail space. After significant work the building is in excellent condition and one we hope the village can be proud of. Pictures above are before, during and after the development.
